Welcome to our Membership Page

Membership is open to all those interested in supporting the aims of the Society. By joining you will become part of a group committed to making a positive contribution to the heritage and physical environment of Colchester.

As a New Member you will:

Be able to enjoy our programme of regular coffee mornings, outings and events

Receive copies of our newsletter

And have the opportunity to play an active part in the projects and activities of the Society

Membership Fees

Membership is payable annually from 1st February. If you join after the 1st October the fee will also cover the following year’s subscription.

Annual membership costs are    £11 for single    £16 for a couple    £40 for a business.

Gift Membership is also available. Please contact our membership secretary for more information on this. Either by writing to the address below or emailing info@colchestercivicsociety.co.uk

How to Join

Please join by completing the online Membership Form on this page .

Payment can be made online to Colchester Civic Society, Sort Code 20-22-67    Account number   80232424 . 

Or you can send a cheque to: Miss A. Turner,  1 Robin Close, Great Bentley, Colchester, CO7 8QH (please include your name and address)

 We ask that you make a payment now for the current year and also arrange annual payments for February 1st each year. (Unless you are joining after 1st October, in which case your payment will cover next year as well)

Gift Aid Declaration

This declaration will enable the Colchester Civic Society to reclaim tax on your subscription. for this to be done, you must pay income tax or capital gains tax at least equal to the amount of tax that the trust reclaims on your donations for the tax year (currently 25p for every £1 you give). registered charity no. 237885.

I CONFIRM THAT I WOULD LIKE ALL SUBSCRIPTIONS/DONATIONS I MAKE FROM THE DATE OF THIS DECLARATION, UNTIL I NOTIFY YOU OTHERWISE, TO QUALIFY UNDER THE GIFT AID SCHEME. I AM A UK TAX PAYER AND I UNDERSTAND THAT IF I PAY LESS INCOME TAX AND /OR CAPITAL GAINS TAX THAN THE AMOUNT OF GIFT AID CLAIMED ON ALL MY DONATIONS IN THAT YEAR IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY ANY DIFFERENCE.
