Interpretation Boards

The Society believes that interpretation boards are extremely important. We have supported the Friends of Colchester’s Roman Wall by paying for one of the 13 boards to be found around the Wall. Our board is on East Hill, by the site of the East Gate.

The Society has also supported the work of the Balkerne Tower Trust, contributing to the cost of interpretation boards at Jumbo and the Garrison Water Tower.

Working with Colchester in Bloom, we have also erected interpretation boards to provide information about the recently restored Southway Murals.
